HELICAL & SPUR GEAR PUMPS

HELICAL & SPUR GEAR PUMPS

Helical & Spur gear pumps are consisting of two moveable parts and they have positive displacements. Pump shaft obtains the rotational movement from the motor and transmits this movement to the driving gear on the shaft. While the driving gear transmits its motion to the driven gear in the opposite direction, the gears began to diverge each other and then vacuum occurs. Pump sucks the constant amount of liquid by the virtue of vacuum.

Therefore, this sucked fluid flows from gear teeth clearances to the delivery outlet. While the gears meshing in the delivery outlet, pressure occurs and this motion allows the fluid transfer to the outside. Pump transfers the liquid as much as its volume by every rotation of pump shaft. Henceforth capacity of pump is directly proportional to its size and revolution. Operating principle of helical and spur gear pumps are shown herein below by figures.

Helical & Spur Gear Pumps, which are our own production, gather in 3 main groups such as Helical & Spur Gear Pumps, External Bearing Helical Gear Pumps, External Bearing and Driven Spur Gear Pumps (Table 15). Helical Spur Gear Pumps can operate with high productivity where silent operation and uninterrupted flow is required. They have capability of conveying small and grindable particles inside the liquid during transfer. Spur gear pumps operate in places where mid-pressure is required, external-bearing and external-bearing & driven helical gear pumps operates with high efficiency in transfer of abrasive liquids, non-lubricating liquids and liquids having high temperature. “DB” letters which are used to call our helical & spur gear pumps means that it is external-bearing type and “DBT” letters mean “external-bearing & driven type”
