Helical & Spur Gear Pumps


External Gear Pumps: Useful for handling light, mild and heavy viscous fluids in addition to semi- solids. These pumps are capable of sucking fluid from up to a depth of 4 meters depending on the evaporation point of the fluid.

Spur Gear Pumps: Used under low flow conditions with high pressure requirement

Helical Gear Pumps: Have smaller pitch compared to internal gear pumps. The helical design of the gear make this range of products particularly useful in environments where silent operation is needed, with a continuous flow and for extremely thick, medium pressure liquids. For a continuous flow to be achieved and maintained, the fluid discharge should begin before the current flowing through one tooth space is entirely discharged.

Working Principle

Helical & Spur gear pumps are consisting of two moveable parts and they have positive displacements.

Pump shaft obtains the rotational movement from the motor and transmits this movement to the driving gear on the shaft. While the driving gear transmits its motion to the driven gear in the opposite direction, the gears began to separate each other. Thereby vacuum occurs. Pump sucks the constant amount of liquid by the virtue of vacuum

Therefore, this sucked fluid flows from gear teeth spaces (clearances) to the discharge outlet. While the gears meshing in the discharge outlet, pressure occurs and this motion allows the fluid transfer to the outside.

Pump will reveal the pressure regarding to opposite resistance and transfer the liquid belongs to its own volume by every revolution of shaft.

Henceforth capacity of pump is directly proportional to its magnitude and Rpm

Under the following operating principle is showed by figures

1- Pump shaft will transmit the movement to the driving gear and driven gear rotates in the direction of arrow by supplying the energy from the motor. The driving gear transmits its movement to the driven gear in a opposite direction whilst gears separate from each other. In pursuant of this separation the liquid will fill in the empty space

2- Fluid which fills in the empty space was forced to the pump discharge channel from the gear teeth spaces (clearances).

3- While the gears mesh each other the fluid will be pushed to the outside.

4- Fluid which was forced to the discharge channel flows through the pump system and realized the transfer activity.

Helical & Spur Gear Pumps, which are our own products, assemble in 3 main groups such as Helical & Spur Gear Pumps, External Bear Helical Gear Pumps, External Bear and Driven Spur Gear Pumps (Table 11)

Helical Spur Gear Pumps can operate silently with high productivity when uninterrupted capacity needed. Suitable for transferring little and grind able particulars, which can be placed in the fluid. Spur gear pumps can operate with high productivity when medium pressure environment required. Suitable for use at locations without lubricating facilities or for hot oil circulation (up to 350° Celsius) handling adverse effects on bearings and where prevention of factors caused by such chemicals and particles that have adverse effects on bearings is of utmost importance.

DB letters means External Bearing Pump.

DBT letters means External Bearing and Driven Pumps.
